“Dear Creature Comforts Family,

I wanted to let you know that Oliver has passed away. He had a wonderful 20 year life and died peacefully at home a few days ago. I wanted to thank everyone for their loving care over the last several years while we were out of town. He always got his medicine and was well cared for. I especially wanted to thank Sarah for taking such good care of him a few weeks ago while we were out of the country. She noticed he wasn't doing well and coordinated getting the vet there to check him out and for follow visits before we returned. It turns out he was in chronic renal failure. Sarah made sure that his last few weeks were comfortable (and that he was still around when we got home!). I can't tell you how much that means to us!! Everyone has always provided such exceptional service over the years, and this latest example just exemplifies the personal care and compassion I know I can trust Geronimo and Princess will look forward to seeing yor folks during future trips.

I also learned from the Vet that during his visit with Oliver and Sarah, that Oliver peed all over her as she held him for the vet. That's truly going above and beyond the call of duty! I can't thank you enough for helping me out when I was in a bind. I had gone to Philadelphia thinking I would only be out of town for a few days when I found out I had to have surgery and would be stuck there for a month. Meanwhile, my cat, Igby, was still in my apartment back in Cambridge and my doctors had forbid me to travel to go get him. I called Alan and explained the situation; even though Creature Comforts doesn't provide such services, within literally minutes Alan found someone who would be willing to pick Igby up and drive him to Philly. Later that very night an incredibly nice guy named Chris showed up with my cat. I couldn't believe how quickly everything had been done. Chris even thought to bring along all of the cat's stuff --- litter box, bowls, food, treats, etc., which was a huge help. Your company provided enormous relief during a very stressful time. She writes every day to tell me how they played, or how (in yesterday's case) she arrived to find him eating a big piece of string, 6 inches of which were down his throat!
